I know what you are thinking! That doesn’t make any sense!! Success and failure are exact, polar opposites. But, trust us at A Career Choice. The road to success is paved with failures.
Failures are what teach us how to improve on a personal and professional level. It is only those who take these teachings and turn them into a short to-do list for the immediate future that truly gain success. Let’s take a simple example. One of our A Career Choice meeting coordinators is also a cosmetics consultant. She noticed that many women simply don’t know which colors are best for them and once they get their make-up home are totally lost as to how to enhance their assets. She was always knowledgeable, helpful and creative but couldn’t seem to make a true living out of her makeup consulting business. She was failing at something. She was so concerned about selling more and more cosmetics and more and more services that she ended up being pushy – a true negative and a failure for any sales person. So, she took some of our A Career Choice courses and learned how to turn that failure into a positive.
Here’s a synopsis of her failures and how they changed into positives:
- Failure to Listen to hear the signs from the client that they had the products and services that they needed for now.
- She created multiple levels of service and products to allow her to appeal to more customers with varying budgets

- She created product and consulting samples to whet people’s appetites

- She now treats every single meeting as if it is her most important meeting of the day
